Further Relaxation of Covid-19 Rules - 10/05/21

Dear Member, from Monday May 17th 2021 Ellenborough TTC will be further relaxing the rules for practice sessions whilst continuing to comply with Government and Sport England guidelines.  This means that, from Monday 17th:
General Rules

1.  You must not attend the club if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid 19 or if you or anyone close to you is self-isolating or showing symptoms.  We may carry out temperature checks as a condition of admitting people into the club.  We would encourage all eligible members to have both vaccine jabs before attending where possible.

2.  There will be no limit to the number of different people you can play with each time you visit the club but there will be limits on the number of people allowed in the building at any one time (see point 7. below).

3.  You may still only play singles; no doubles until further notice.

4.  You must still observe hygiene precautions and all other Covid 19 Safety Procedures.

5.  You can use the changing rooms/toilets if necessary and more than one person at a time can do so but you cannot yet use the showers.

6.  The bar may be opened for the sale of drinks and snacks but the kitchen and mugs, plates, glasses, etc. should not be used until further notice. The vending machine will be installed again soon after the 17th May.
Booking and playing

7.  There will still be six tables and these must be booked using the online booking system but you may book up to three people on a table, the third player’s name must be entered in the ‘comments’ box on the booking screen.  A family should book 1 table and put the extra name (s) in the comment box.

8.  Only players whose names appear on the booking system will be permitted to play, although a player can be added at short notice if necessary provided the limit of 3 per table is not exceeded.

9.  Once booked in, players can play with any other player on any table with the agreement of those who are booked to use that other table.  Spare unbooked tables can be used, so if six people are booked onto two tables, a spare table could be used so that all six can play at the same time.

10. You must obey the instructions of the Steward on duty at all times for the purposes of safety and fair use of the facilities.

If everyone is considerate and sticks to these rules then we hope that we will be able to reopen the kitchen, allow doubles, etc. from late June.  However, this still relies upon all members doing their bit to keep themselves and their fellow members safe.

If your membership is on hold you will need to renew this now.

We look forward to seeing you back at Ellenborough in the very near future.
